British private equity firm Aspirity Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Onomondo, the Danish IoT infrastructure & connectivity company, leading a combined investment north of €100 million.
EIFO, Denmark’s sovereign investment fund and an Onomondo backer since 2021, will increase its investment alongside Aspirity.

2026 funding activity provides useful context for Onomondo’s news, especially when analysing continued investment across the European connectivity and connected-infrastructure stack.
This includes announcements across the continent from Warsaw-based Microamp‘s €6.5 million backing for industrial 5G and 6G networks and Paris-based UNIVITY‘s €27 million Series A for space-based 5G connectivity, to Lausanne-based SWISSto12‘s €61 million Series C, Dutch industrial edge platform Helin‘s €10 million growth investment and Cologne-based United Manufacturing Hub‘s €5 million round for manufacturing data infrastructure.
Against this backdrop, Onomondo’s combined investment of more than €100 million represents a substantial commitment to terrestrial IoT infrastructure and international deployment.
EU-Startups previously covered Onomondo’s €20.2 million Verdane-led round in 2022, while Aspirity Partners was featured in 2025 following the €875 million close of its inaugural fund.

More than 500 customers use Onomondo’s technology, including Maersk, Carlsberg and Husqvarna. This infrastructure allows companies to collect, process and act on real-world data in places where conventional connectivity is often difficult, from ships and trucks to factories and remote industrial sites.
