Swedish micromobility company Voi secures €150 million RCF to redeem outstanding bonds and scale its fleet

Voi Technology, the Stockholm-based e-scooter and e-bike sharing company, has signed a €150 million revolving credit facility (RCF) with three Nordic banks.

The Swedish micromobility startup has entered into the new RCF (new facility) with Danske Bank, Swedbank and DNB Sweden. According to Voi, this new facility represents a further step in its financial development and marks a new stage in its financing strategy.

“This is an important milestone in our financial development, and follows the strong cash flow generation over the past years. The new facility gives us access to more flexible and cost-efficient financing as we continue to scale. We thank our current banks Danske Bank and Swedbank for their continued support and welcome DNB Bank on our journey ahead,” said Mathias Hermansson, CFO and Deputy CEO of Voi.

Founded in Stockholm in 2018, Voi provides shared electric scooters and e-bikes in partnership with towns and cities across Europe. The company currently operates more than 200k vehicles across more than 130 towns and cities in 13 countries, employs roughly 1,000 people at its Stockholm headquarters, and has recorded more than 500 million rides from over 4 million active users annually.

The new revolving credit facility comes on the back of strong second-quarter results. During Q2 2026, Voi reported net revenue climbed 47% year-on-year to €68.8 million, pushing its trailing twelve-month revenue above €200 million for the first time. The company’s adjusted EBITDA also nearly doubled to €19.7 million, giving it a margin of 28.6%. Voi also reported net leverage fell to 1.76x from 2.41x at the end of the previous quarter, despite its continued investment in fleet expansion.

Voi says it will use the proceeds to redeem all of its outstanding bonds, refinance its existing undrawn credit line and continue expanding its vehicle fleet. As part of the transaction, Voi issued a conditional notice of early redemption for all outstanding bonds under ISIN SE0023134952, which were issued under terms dated 17 October 2024.

The redemption of all outstanding bonds depends on customary conditions for the first drawdown of the new facility being satisfied, and, if met, is expected to close on 19 October 2026. The company also confirmed that bondholders will be repaid at 103.375% of the nominal value of each bond, plus accrued interest, with the payment due to holders registered as of 12 October 2026. Voi said the bonds are expected to be delisted from Nasdaq Stockholm’s corporate bond list around that date.

Fredrik Hjelm, co-founder and CEO of Voi, said, “We are coming off another record quarter, in Q2 2026, in a run of record quarters, and our growth trajectory keeps building. This facility is a clear vote of confidence from some of the Nordic region’s leading banks, and a sign that micromobility has matured into a bankable industry. Looking ahead, we will keep scaling our fleet, deepening our partnerships with cities, and working to create cities made for living.”

Since 2018, Voi Technology has raised more than €500 million across 14 funding rounds, including two Seed, four early-stage, five late-stage, 2 debt, and 1 grant prize. In August 2018, Voi raised a €2.5 million Seed round from VNV Global and went on to raise a €77 million Series B in November 2019, followed by a €132 million Series C in December 2020, which remains its largest funding round.

The Series D followed in December 2021 when the company raised €101.36 million ($115 million) and became a unicorn. However, the company has since shifted from pure equity to debt capital markets, issuing €50 million in senior secured bonds in October 2024, a further €40 million tap issue in October 2025, and a €25 million RCF with Danske Bank and Swedbank in December 2025. The €150 million revolving credit facility announced this week supersedes all the previous debt.

Even after its bonds are redeemed and delisted, the company intends to keep reporting its quarterly financing position alongside sustainability disclosures made under the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. The company says this measure is its continued commitment to transparency with stakeholders.
