Surat-based J B Ecotex Ltd has filed its DRHP with SEBI to raise funds through an IPO. The proposed issue comprises a fresh issue of up to Rs 400 crore and an OFS of up to 1.295 crore shares by promoters. The company may also raise up to Rs 80 crore through a Pre-IPO Placement, which, if completed, will be deducted from the fresh issue size.

Surat-based J B Ecotex Limited has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise funds through an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The proposed IPO, with a face value of Rs 5 per equity share, comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to Rs 400 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to 12,950,000 equity shares by promoters. The selling shareholders include Jitendrakumar Fulchand Arya, Ayodhyaprasad Jugalkishore Singhal, Rajesh Ramniwas Gupta, Vishal Kejriwal, Ramdas Laxminarayan Jindal, Himanshu Surendra Jariwala, Hemant Vimalkumar Dhandharia, Monika Rajesh Gupta and Sajjan Kumar Kejriwal.

The company, in consultation with the book-running lead managers, may also consider a Pre-IPO Placement of up to Rs 80 crore before filing the Red Herring Prospectus with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). If the Pre-IPO Placement is completed, the amount raised through it will be deducted from the fresh issue size.

Of the fresh issue proceeds, Rs 320 crore will be used for the repayment or pre-payment, in full or in part, of certain outstanding borrowings availed by the company and its material subsidiary. The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The IPO will be conducted through the book-building process. Not more than 50% of the net offer will be allocated to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), while not less than 15% and 35% of the net offer will be reserved for non-institutional bidders and retail individual bidders, respectively.

About J B Ecotex
Incorporated in 2012, J B Ecotex is a Surat-based PET recycling company. According to the 1Lattice Report, the company was the second-largest polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling company in India in terms of installed capacity, with a capacity of 180,360 tonnes as of August 31, 2026.

The company recycles PET bottles and other PET waste to manufacture recycled PET products, which are primarily used in textiles, food-grade packaging and other packaging applications.

According to the 1Lattice Report, J B Ecotex is the only company in India with both mechanical and chemical PET waste recycling capabilities and was one of two companies in India with commercial-scale chemical recycling capabilities as of August 31, 2026.

Financial performance: J B Ecotex reported revenue from operations of Rs 827.6 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 527.3 crore in FY24. Its net profit stood at Rs 22.4 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 21.1 crore in FY24.

Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Limited and JM Financial Limited are the book-running lead managers to the issue, while MUFG Intime India Private Limited is the registrar.

The equity shares are proposed to be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited.
