TODAY lands €2.8M to scale its AI platform for financial advisors

TODAY, an AI startup helping financial and insurance advisors automate their work has raised €2.8 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Insurtech Gateway, with participation from Seed X, Lucid Capital and angel investors including former HDI CEO Herbert Rogenhofer and Tech11 founder Pierre Dubosq.

Founded in 2024 by Michael Gackstatter and Artem Demchenkov, TODAY is developing an AI-powered sales operating system for advisors working at banks, insurers and brokerages.

The company is targeting a market where financial and insurance advisors are under pressure to scale and professionalise their operations, while existing technology and compliant AI solutions have not kept pace.

TODAY's platform uses AI agents to support advisors before, during and after interactions with clients. It can transcribe client meetings, handle routine back-office tasks, coach advisors on their sales performance and answer incoming calls, with the aim of reducing administrative work and giving advisors more time to work with clients.

According to TODAY, advisors using the platform save an average of five hours per week on administrative work and can generate up to 10 per cent more revenue. The company also says its technology enables advisors to capture around 50 times more insights from client conversations.

More than 3,500 advisors across the DACH region currently use TODAY, ranging from large insurers and distributors to independent brokers.

While AI reshuffles financial advice, we scale the human touch. Our agents take over the admin, so advisors can spend their time with clients. With our strong investors on board, we will bring this to every advisory team in DACH,

said Michael Gackstatter, co-founder and CEO of TODAY.

TODAY will use the seed funding to expand further across the DACH region and extend its platform to cover more of advisors' front- and back-office operations.
