American workwear brand Dickies is launching footwear for SS27 in a new EMEA partnership with London-based specialist footwear design and distribution company, Overland Shoes.
Developed by Overland, which has a long history of bringing licensed footwear to market across the UK and Europe, including partnerships with G.H. Bass and Karl Lagerfeld, the inaugural men’s and women’s collection draws on Dickies’ workwear heritage and its adoption by skate, street and hip-hop communities.
That influence comes through in durable materials, functional detailing and recognisable brand iconography.
Key styles including the ‘Beaumont Chelsea’ and hiker boots, built on the Dickies ‘Workhorse’ sole, the ‘Lufkin Wedge’ boot and shoe, ‘Canyon’ trainers, ‘Slam Hi’ and ‘Slam Lo’ basketball court-inspired styles, as well as ‘Denton’ clogs and sandals, which feature buckle hardware inspired by the original Dickies bib overalls. For women, there’s also the ‘Burnett’ biker boot.
Stephen Palmer, CEO of Overland Shoes, said: “Since 1922, Dickies has evolved naturally and earned its place in American culture many times over. From its workwear roots to its adoption by skateboard culture, theirs is a heritage with many chapters.
“At Overland, we see this relationship as another page in the narrative – one that serves a new set of consumers with new products without deviating from the story that’s made Dickies the legendary brand it is today.”
Across the line, full-grain and crazy horse leathers, nubuck, suede and canvas bring variety in texture and finish. Retail prices will range from £60–£160.
