Binder: Flexible Befestigungslösungen für Defence-Anwendungen

Whether for protected vehicles, mobile infrastructure, clothing systems or unmanned platforms, modern defence applications must perform reliably under demanding conditions. Consequently, the requirements placed on fastening technologies are equally demanding. In addition to strength and durability, factors such as weight reduction, ease of maintenance and flexible integration are becoming increasingly important.

Various materials

Reclosable fastening systems offer a number of advantages in this context. They enable rapid assembly and disassembly, simplify repair and maintenance work, and can help reduce the overall weight of components and assemblies. At the same time, different materials can be securely joined without the need for complex mechanical fasteners. Many applications also require metal-free solutions. These help avoid corrosion risks and are particularly suitable for systems where weight, material compatibility or specific operational requirements play a key role.

Alongside established hook-and-loop solutions such as “Klettostar“ for flexible clothing and equipment systems, demand is increasing for specialised fastening technologies. These include IRR velour designed to reduce infrared signatures, as well as specialised solutions such as “Duotec“, “Gecko“ and “Klettofix“. The portfolio also includes high-temperature closure solutions such as “Klettostar HT“ for operating temperatures of up to 260 °C, custom profile solutions developed in-house, clips, and customised closure and fastening systems tailored to individual application requirements.

Different technologies

To meet a wide range of operational requirements, Binder draws on expertise in multiple manufacturing technologies, including adhesive bonding, profile extrusion and ultrasonic welding. The combination of these technologies enables the development of application-specific fastening solutions that can be precisely tailored to requirements relating to functionality, durability and operational reliability.

With in-house development and manufacturing expertise, Binder supports customers from the initial concept through to series production. Since 1798, Binder has stood for development and manufacturing in Germany, combining extensive experience with a continuous commitment to innovation.
