Bajaj Finance to raise Rs 17,500 cr via QIP, preferential issue
Mumbai: The board of directors at Bajaj Finance have approved raising Rs 11,700 crore through a qualified institutions placement ("QIP"). Separately, Rs 5800 crore will be raised through the issue of warrants via a preferrential allotment to promoter Bajaj Finserv, the company said in a notice to the stock exchanges.

"The company will be seeking approval of the shareholders for the proposed QIP and by convening an Extra Ordinary General Meeting," the company said.

In total, the company will raise up to Rs 17,500 crore.

In the QIP, institutional investors will be allotted shares, while warrants will be issued to promoters likely to ensure that their stake is not diluted.
