The ET Alpha Wealth Summit is back — and the stage is set for a powerful gathering of some of the biggest names in the investment world. As markets navigate a rapidly changing global landscape, the summit will bring together leading voices to decode the challenges, opportunities and shifts shaping the future of investing.

TheET Alpha Wealth Summit 2.0 will be held at ITC Maratha in Mumbai on October 8, with an agenda spanning global capital flows, smart money, private credit, family offices, GIFT City, SIFs, AI and the future of wealth creation.

Global capital flows and smart money

The summit will kick off with the keynote ‘The Macro Manifesto’, led by Kshitij Anand, Editor, ET Markets, followed by ‘Global Capital Flows’ by Nilesh Shah, Group President and Managing Director, Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company.

The session will examine the emergence of a new world order, changing routes of global smart money and where the next centres of infrastructure, energy, technology, manufacturing capacity and financial influence are likely to emerge. The discussion will explore how India’s leading family offices and institutional investors are deploying capital across private credit, venture debt, co-investments, and alternative strategies to unlock differentiated sources of alpha.

Veteran investor Prashant Jain, Founder, 3P Investment Managers, will share his perspective in the fireside ‘The 30-Year Investor’s Guide to the Next Market Cycle’.

Alternative assets and structured debt

The summit will explore unconventional sources of alpha through ‘Unconventional Alpha: Multi-Gen Wealth Creation in Niche Alternative Asset Classes’, featuring Harendra Kumar, MD, Institutional Equities, Elara Capital; B Gopkumar, Managing Director & CEO, Axis Mutual Fund; and Hiren Ved, Director & CIO, Alchemy Capital Management.

The session will examine how niche alternatives, onshoring trends and structural shifts could shape the next generation of returns.

The focus will move to ‘Structured Debt’, with Ashish Mehrotra, MD & CEO, Northern Arc Capital; Shantanu Sahai, Chief Executive Officer, ASK Private Credit; Vikas Satija, MD & CEO, Shriram Wealth; Rakshat Kapoor, Head - Private Credit & Chief Investment Officer, Motilal Oswal Alternates; and Akash Desai, Chief Investment Officer & Head - Credit, 360 ONE Asset.

The panel will examine private debt opportunities, downside protection, yield generation and the evolving role of structured credit.

How family offices are investing

The summit will also explore the investment frameworks of some of India’s leading family offices through ‘How Family Offices Invest’, featuring Nikhil Chandak, Chief Investment Officer, Shanghvi Family Office; Abhimanyu Sofat, Head of Family Office & CIO, The Dempo Group; Rakesh Sony, Group Corporate Director, The Times of India Group; Benaifer Malandkar, Chief Investment Officer, RAAY, Patni Family Office; and Vishal Gupta, Partner, Jeejeebhoy Family Office.

The conversation will examine how leading wealth creators allocate capital, evaluate risk and build portfolios to preserve and compound wealth across generations.

With GIFT City emerging as a key gateway for global finance, Prithipal Singh, Director and Head of Business Development at Aequitas Investment Consultancy, will lead ‘GIFT City Unlocked’.

The masterclass will cover fund structures, tax efficiencies and cross-border investment frameworks reshaping international wealth management.

Anand Vardarajan, CEO & MD, Tata Asset Management, will explore portfolio construction in ‘From Conviction Bets to Index Funds: Rethinking the Wealth Portfolio’.

REITs, SIFs and the changing wealth portfolio

Real estate will also be in focus, with Ramesh, CEO, Mindspace, examining whether REITs can become a core holding in Indian portfolios and the different routes to real-estate exposure, from listed REITs and mutual funds to SM REITs.

One of the newer developments in India’s investment landscape will take centre stage as Radhika Gupta, MD and CEO, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, discusses ‘SIFs: The Newest SEBI Asset Class’. The fireside will examine whether sophisticated investment funds can bridge mutual funds and alternative investments, and what the new framework could mean for investors and portfolios.

AI and the future of investing

Technology-led investing will take the spotlight with Sandeep Tandon, Founder, Quant Group, leading ‘Man or Machine? Decoding Future of Investing’ and examining the evolving relationship between human decision-making and technology.

The conversation will continue with ‘AI in Portfolio Management’, featuring Dhiraj Relli, MD & CEO, HDFC Securities Limited; Atul Suri, MD and CEO, Marathon Trends; Ravi Dharamshi, Founder & CIO, ValueQuest; and Sonam Srivastava, Founder and CEO, Wright Research.
