Thermore’s EVOdown recycled insulation is being used across five men’s and women’s styles in the new Patagonia Heyes Peak collection.

Designed for everyday wear in changing and transitional weather, the Heyes Peak range includes a jacket, parka, hoody and three-in-one parka. The garments combine layer-friendly linings with EVOdown insulation to provide warmth and softness without excessive bulk.

The Heyes Peak Jacket uses 80 gsm EVOdown with a shell made from NetPlus 100% post-consumer recycled nylon ripstop. NetPlus material is produced from recycled fishing nets, while the shell also has a durable water-repellent treatment made without intentionally added PFAS.

Thermore EVOdown is made with fibres 100% recycled from PET bottles and has been developed to combine the soft handle and loft associated with down with the durability and easy care of synthetic insulation.

The insulation is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and bluesign requirements. Styles across the Heyes Peak collection are also manufactured in Fair Trade Certified factories.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Patagonia on the Heyes Peak collection,” said Laura Beachy, senior vice president of global marketing and communications at Thermore. “Thermore EVOdown gives Patagonia a fill that meets its sustainability standards across five styles without asking it to compromise on warmth or comfort.”

The Heyes Peak Jacket uses a 1.2 oz, 20-denier NetPlus ripstop shell alongside the recycled insulation, extending Patagonia’s use of recycled materials through different components of the garment.

“The best materials are the ones that help us meet our customers’ needs while reducing our impact,” said Mark Little, senior business unit director at Patagonia Lifestyle Essentials + Graphics. “Thermore EVOdown gave us an opportunity to deliver dependable warmth, softness and durability in the Heyes Peak collection while incorporating preferred materials throughout the system.”

The partnership provides Thermore with another significant outdoor brand application for EVOdown and places the insulation across an entire new Patagonia collection rather than a single garment.

Founded in Milan in 1972, Thermore specialises in thermal insulation for apparel and has increasingly focused its product development on recycled synthetic fills.
