Warsaw’s Coding Giants secures up to €6 million to expand its STEM education platform beyond Europe

Coding Giants, a Warsaw-based international STEM education platform for children and teenagers, has secured up to €6 million in venture debt financing.

The financing came from Orbit Capital, a Central and Eastern European growth-stage investor with more than €200 million in assets across its venture debt and growth equity investment vehicles. In December 2024, the Polish platform announced that it has closed an €8.5 million investment round led by True Global Ventures (TGV).

“Coding Giants has reached a stage where venture debt can be particularly effective: the  company has a proven business model, generates meaningful revenue and has already demonstrated its ability to operate internationally. This type of financing gives the team additional flexibility to pursue growth opportunities without changing the fundamentals of the business,” said Wiktor Namysł, General Partner at Orbit Capital.

Known as Giganci Programowania in Poland, Coding Giants was founded in 2018 by Radosław Kulesza, Dawid Leśniakiewicz, Piotr Pełka, and Sebastian Langa. The company offers online and onsite courses in coding, artificial intelligence, and mathematics to young learners between the ages of 6 and 19. The platform currently operates across 15 countries, including the US, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Germany, and several markets across the Balkans, and has taught more than 130,000 students worldwide.

The company combines expert instruction with AI-powered tools that adapt learning materials to individual student progress in real-time. The courses are delivered through environments familiar to students, including Minecraft and Roblox, to create an accessible, engaging learning experience.

Coding Giants also runs broader educational initiatives, including Gigathon, the largest programming competition in Poland, and clickON, a free nationwide coding event endorsed by Poland’s Ministry of Education for children aged 6 to 18. It has close to a thousand instructors in its educator community, combining technology experience with teaching.

“We have built a business generating approximately USD 15 million in ARR. The financing from Orbit Capital will allow us to move faster on the opportunities we see, particularly in Spain and across the Americas. We already have an office in Mexico and want to accelerate our growth in the region, both organically and through acquisitions,” said Kulesza, CEO and co-founder of Coding Giants.

The financing will be primarily used to accelerate the presence of Coding Giants in the United States and Mexico. The company also plans to deepen its footprint in Spain, through a mix of organic growth and targeted acquisitions.

“Coding, AI and mathematics develop logical thinking, curiosity and problem-solving skills. These are the capabilities young people need not only to use technology, but to understand it and actively participate in creating it,” said Leśniewicz, co-founder of Coding Giants.

The financing comes at a time when demand for practical STEM education is rising globally, but mathematics performance continues to decline among young people across a number of markets. Coding Giants sees its platform as the solution to stem this decline, and with the financing, it will be able to broaden its scope and expand its platform to young learners worldwide.
