Mini garments entrepreneurs met on Friday, 9 October 2026, at Hotel Platinum in Banani, Dhaka. The meeting focused on forming the convening committee of the Bangladesh Mini Garments Manufacturers Association and discussing future initiatives to develop the sector. Md. Rubel Miah, Managing Director of Sixem Fashion, was appointed Convenor, while S M Sumon Bappy, Managing Director of Sordar Garments, was appointed Member Secretary. The other representatives included in the committee were designated as Members.
Participants emphasized developing the mini garments sector through training, skills enhancement, knowledge and experience sharing, and stronger cooperation among entrepreneurs. Participants also discussed plans to develop an association website to facilitate communication, information sharing, and connections among members. The discussion also covered improvements in production practices, product quality and business management, along with new market opportunities and possible solutions to common challenges faced by mini garments manufacturers.
Participants expressed their commitment to working together to develop the sector. After forming the convening committee and discussing future plans, the meeting concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.
